What nicer way is there to welcome the holiday season than making beautiful decorations, ornaments and boxes, using the art of paper folding?
Origami is an ancient Japanese technique, which transforms coloured paper into anything from a simple blooming tulip to an intricate ornament. In fact, although origami first began when paper itself was invented, it remains hugely popular today because of the stunning creations that can be made from simple squares of paper — maybe even more popular these days because paper flowers that last forever are actually eco-friendly! A small number of different folds and a little imagination is all it’ll take to create our very own holiday creation, from pre-cut papers in exciting colours.
We are delighted to welcome John Guppy (of the Origami Society of Toronto) back with us. He was with us in the spring and we had the most amazing fun afternoon! You don’t want to miss this 90-minute workshop as the season gets underway!
