If you would like to discuss the course some more...please call me @ 416.857.0591

Peace & Blessings.

What you've written in your blog, resonates with me 100%. You truly took the words out of my mouth. It's mirror of what I'm going through. Thank you...I thought I was a lone.

Aloha Katia. Thank you for sharing your life's experience with us. You're absolutely correct (and we do need reminding) about the importance of approaching a relationship from a point of want and not need. Once we're needy, the other person is as good as gone and we're feeling like crap again. I am in a huge transition right now, trying to figure out what kind of work I want to do and finding a place to live. I would also like to find a relationship - someone just to hang out with for starters. I don't want to get married either. My problem is that I haven't dated in years, partly because I didn't want to and partly because I haven't had time so I haven't met anyone. Doesn't the wealth of our past experiences help us better attract what we want instead of what we don't want?

Danielle, I could not agree more! I have never thought of it exactly as you put it, that 'sorry I am busy' has a hint of a victim mentality to it, or that it's something we say to appease others - but I feel exactly the same way about the phrase and the sentiment. It's disempowering to the self to be apologizing and making excuses for the choices we've made - and I do agree as well that we choose our busy-ness. We also choose how much energy we give away to the fact that we are busy; how much pressure we put on ourselves in light of the busy-ness that we have.

Now that you've pointed it out so succintly, I am going to make a conscious effort not to let 'Sorry, I'm busy' or any variation cross my lips - just as a matter of principle, and to remind myself that I may have a lot to do, but I am never a victim of my own life. I can make different choices if I need to change my life - I can delegate or ask for help or simply say no! I never need to apologize to others for the way I spend my time, or don't, if I am following my authentic path and exercising good self-care. And I will encourage other girlfriends to do the same.
