What are the benefits of participating in the Fit & Fab Challenge?

The goal of the Fit & Fab Challenge is to empower you to live a sustainable balanced and healthy lifestyle — whether you want to lose some weight, get fit, feel younger or just have more energy!  You’ll meet other fantastic like-minded women who’ve made a similar commitment to feeling fabulous.

What exactly is included when I sign up?

Well we are delighted to have some fantastic partners who can make this possible — including GoodLife Fitness Toronto Street Women’s Club & 889 Yonge, Wellness Clinic + Yoga Community. We have a number of other supporters as well, and all have joined in to make this program possible and to provide an amazing experience that will change lives and create a lasting impact for everyone!

Is the Fit & Fab for women who want to lose weight only?

Absolutely not! The focus of the Challenge is to exercise, feel good and have fun — so if you have some weight to lose, that’s great. The goal of the program is to help you get/stay healthy, enjoy being active and try out different things with a group of like-minded women.

What age is the Fit & Fab Challenge targeted to?

Remember the only person you’re challenging is yourself! We have women in their 20s to their 60s attend PFW events, so regardless of your fitness level, age or shape — you’ll benefit from getting out and connecting with some Positive Fabulous Women who are looking to get healthy, fit and elevate their energy levels!

Do I have to be at a certain fitness level to participate in this Challenge?

The only “requirements” are the desire to move and willingness to try new things! Again, this isn’t a competition, but an opportunity for you to challenge yourself and enjoy making fun connections.

Can I use the GoodLife Fitness Club in my neighbourhood?

No, this is limited to the Toronto Street Women’s Club, located at Adelaide & Victoria in downtown Toronto. This is an absolutely beautiful facility — here’s the description of the Club from Toronto Life:

“The Platinum Plus jewel in GoodLife’s crown opened in October 2004—it’s the only Platinum all-women’s club in the Goodlife chain. This posh downtown space boasts a wall of cascading water, big windows and complimentary massage chairs. Gravity Training System cable machines allow you to exercise in 120 different positions. A huge, bright training studio features regular classes, as well as shorter group workouts. Flat screen TVs provide a diversion as you sweat on new-model cardio machines. Reward yourself afterward in the aromatherapy steam room.”

Remember, you only need to complete your Personal Health Profile before and after the Challenge at the Toronto Street Women’s Club — otherwise you’re free to work out your regular gym. Although after seeing these 2 beautiful facilities you may want to find a way to get there at least on weekends!  We have packed so many amazing benefits into the Challenge — so there’s still plenty of goodies to enjoy!

I don’t live in the downtown area and it would be difficult for me to get to GoodLife Fitness Toronto Street Women’s Club or 889 Yonge.

We understand that not everyone can get to those 2 locations for their regular workouts. Again, you don’t have to — although after seeing these 2 beautiful facilities you may want to find a way to get there at least on weekends!  Once you get your Personal Health Profile, you are free to get your workouts anywhere you want; in your own gym, at home or walking your dog! There are still so many amazing benefits included with the Challenge that you get to enjoy!

I can’t attend the Launch Event on March 27th, can I still participate?

Remember we are offering 2 different sessions at GoodLife Fitness Toronto Street Women’s Club for our Launch event on March 27th; 1:00 pm & 3:00. This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet the experts, tour the facilities, learn proper workout techniques and get your goodies!

However, if you cannot attend, you’ll miss out on some of the fun, but you can still make an appointment with a personal trainer to get your Personal Health Profile and you’ll be on your way to participate in this program!

What exactly is the Personal Health Profile that’s being offered Before & After the Challenge?

This is a 1-on-1 consultation with a personal trainer. They will work with you to identify personal goals and needs (eg. weight loss, toning up, improved health, etc.) and find out where you’re at in terms of your nutritional habits. They will provide assistance in setting and prioritizing your goals so you are clear of what you’re working towards.

Included with the Personal Health Profile is a check of your blood pressure,  body composition (water, fat %, BMI, BMR ). They will also discuss and take body measurements  so you know exactly how much progress you make in those 6 weeks.

In addition, they will perform a number of fitness assessments to see where you’re at with your cardio ability and physical fitness. (i.e. squat form, push-ups, timed plank).

At the end of all of the pre-challenge Personal Health Assessment, you get a personalized plan that will take you from where your  current fitness is to where you want to go and will provide them with 3-4 options to do and  help you design your workout schedule.

Do I have to be a PFW member to sign up for the Fit & Fab Challenge?

The Challenge is open to all women — you do not have to be a member to sign up. But why wouldn’t you want to? After all, our Social Membership is FREE for a limited time, so we would love to you join us!

So what happens after I sign up?

  • ok, so first you sign up for the 6-Week Challenge.
  • You give yourself a pat on the back!!!
  • Register for your (free) session for the Launch Event on March 27 to be held at GoodLife Fitness Toronto Street Women’s Club at 36 Toronto Street in the Yonge & King area.
  • At the Launch event, you get to book your 1-on-1 appointment to receive your free pre-challenge Personal Health Profile
  • Use your Fit & Fab Activity Log Book  to keep track of your progress and help you stay motivated
  • Take advantage of your free access pass for 12 sessions to each of GoodLife Fitness Toronto Street Women’s Club and 889 Yonge, Wellness Clinic + Yoga Community
  • Attend Fit & Fab events throughout the challenge to maximize your knowledge, motivation and fun factor! (optional)
  • Make use of all the amazing services & resources available to you to help you achieve your personal objectives to look & feel fabulous
  • Make your appointment to receive your free post-challenge Personal Health Profile with a personal trainer to see just how far you’ve progresses since the start date
  • Join the F & F Ultimate Day Out on May 16th at 889 Yonge, Wellness Clinic + Yoga Community to celebrate with your teammates and the rest of the participants. We will have an award ceremony, door prizes, and some special surprises for everyone!

I signed up and paid for the Challenge, but would like to cancel my participation, can I get a refund?

This is our PFW Refund Policy, which applies to all our events, including the Fit & Fab Challenge:

  • PFW will issue a 100% refund ONLY when the event is canceled
  • PFW will not provide any refunds due to sickness or any other change in schedule/circumstance of participants
  • Cancellation requests made 48 hours prior to the date of the event will be eligible for a 50% refund which can be transferred towards a future PFW event within a 60-day time period
  • If the event is rescheduled, a 50% refund will be reimbursed for those who are unable to attend the “new” scheduled event date  OR  100% credit towards a future event taking place within a 60-day time period
  • Any cancellations made within the 48-hour window as well as no-shows will NOT be eligible for a refund or credit. Think of it like the theatre – if you book tickets and then get sick and can’t go, they don’t try to accommodate you for another show and unfortunately, neither can we.
